We support cocoa growers and farmer cooperatives in Uganda through value addition by financing, marketing and extension service. We are suppliers of some of the finest cocoa beans in the world coming directly from Ugandan producers.
Our approach for cocoa entails consolidating cumulative quantities of cocoa from individual and grouped farmer cooperatives into shipments for export market. Source Plus Afrique Group has devised sustainable cocoa supply chain to benefit both the farmer and the consumers together with our partners. We partner with cocoa growers in Uganda from the following districts: Bundibugyo, Mukono, Kayunga, Jinja, Iganga, Mayuge, Buikwe and Masindi.
We have also established reliable additional origination capabilities for stable global supply of well fermented & properly dried cocoa beans from the Cote d’Ivore, Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria.
Sustainable Cocoa Farming, Development and Trading
The aim for Source Plus Afrique Group Cocoa division in becoming the best exporters of cocoa beans from Uganda is to help smallholder cocoa farmers get fair price out of their products by firmly opening up a way for them to reach the global market.
To achieve this, quality and sustainability are key factors: our approach is to engage smallholder farmers’ cooperatives, support them with most important farm inputs and closely monitor their operations to ensure that responsibility, ethical standards and quality checks and balances are solidly upheld.
Traceability of Cocoa Beans
We will keenly follow up the entire process of preparation and procurement of cocoa to ensure that it is free from any element of child labor or kinds of forced labor. We commit to fair trade throughout our engagements with the farmers and also adhere to sustainable and responsible sourcing practices.
Our goal is to establish and expand long term contracting facility with cocoa farmers as a way of value addition and mitigation of their risk exposure. You can contact us for further information.
